Paul McCartney on TV tonight. I am watching the Ronnie Wood Show on Cable here in Argentina. Tonight he has Paul McCartney as his guest. They get to talking about John Lennons poor eyesight and how he only wore his glasses rarely - out of vanity. Couldnt see his hand in front of him. Paul explained. But he was dead afraid some girl might see him with the glasses on. One cold night the two had been working late together. John decided to walk home alone. He wasnt wearing his glasses. Next day he asked Paul what time it had been when he started walking home. McCartney tells him, Oh I dont know. Maybe 11:30. Lennon says, Those people at the corner of Bascomb Road there... theyre fin crazy. Its freezing cold out and theyre sitting in front of their house playing cards! Does seem weird. said Paul. Next day Paul was curious about the weirdo people who played cards outside their house so late in the cold. So he goes by. Here he cracks up laughing while telling the story and says to Ronnie Wood, It was a nativity scene. On the front lawn. The people all bent over.... looked like they was playing cards.
