Paul believed he lived in a time of great change, a crux in the history of God’s dealing with humanity comparable to Mount Sinai. Specifically, he believed the promises to Abraham were being fulfilled in the wake of Yeshua’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension. If Mount Sinai had been part of that fulfillment — the part related to God’s dealings with the Jewish people — now another chapter was unfolding that was going to be dominated by the Gentiles.
