Paul speaks about the choice we have of building with temporary materials or eternal materials—wood, hay or straw or gold, silver or precious stones. What determines the difference? It’s how you build. The issue is the motivation of your heart —if this is not right then everything that you do will not be of any lasting worth or value. “According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.” 1 Corinthians 3:10
