Pause, Think, Plan, Act. For those of you who celebrates Ethiopian New Year, I would like to say Happy New Year. And for those of you who didnt, Happy New Day. Though we should not expect new year to come so that we can plan, it is a good time to start. My recommendation for this group members and for all who can see this post is that lets take a minute or two, 30 minute or 1 hour depending on how far we can go and think about the last year happenings in our life. Scan the year month by month and if possible week by week and again if possible day by day or hour by hour. First lets try to see all the things you achieved and the passed to the new year, those left undone and other kept as an idea. Second, lets focus on those of which finished or accomplished and pick one most important thing that helps us most for the success of that particular accomplishment. Assess it and see if it is internal or external. eg Internal, our psychology, attitude, believe, faith .... and external, System (government), family, friend ....finance and so one. Third, Pick those you didnt finish when you have to finish them. And think of one important problem that kept you from doing so. If it is lack of commitment, courage, focus and from external finance, help from others and so on. Fourth, Find out strengths from the one that helps you to accomplish the success that you have in the second point and see if you can put them on the third, the one that didnt finished. Fifth, In all aspects see patterns of feeling, which of the accomplishments gave you much happiness than the other and which of the unaccomplished things makes you feel angry or made to wish you have them done on time. Lastly in general think of which of the modules you have balanced. Before you do that let me tell you about modules in life, I can say the main ones. 1. Mind 2.Body 3.Spirit 4.Shadow Did you allot time to feed your mind with knowledge of different kind, professional, general or some thing related to self development? Answer this question and see your answers to know how you do. Did you allot time to your body, Like have you done body exercise, keep your self clean (sounds simple but not), like giving your body the exact amount of water it needs, eating appropriate food not junk. Mostly the appropriate foods are the easy ones to get. Add your own.... Did you allot time for spiritual practice of your own, based on the religion you follow or the one you worship or some meditation related staffs. Having silent time for your self to see things in different way. Shadow, Does someones opinion became your reality? like you are not beautiful or handsome? You cant speak for yourself? You are mean to be in a group? You are a trouble maker? You are not educated? In the reverse have you said any one of these to your beloved ones. This things listed above will give you the space to assess your self and now where you are. To plan your future, to focus, to assess, and then act. May your new year is a successful year to you.
