Peace Family, On behalf of the Organization of African Students (OAS), it is our pleasure to invite you to Unifying the Black Diaspora: Understanding Sameness and Difference. The objective of this event is to create a space for the Black community on the Berkeley campus to talk about race and identity. The goal is to emphasize why it is important for Blacks in America, first generation Afrikans, and international Afrikan students to defeat perceived barriers between our communities and strengthen the potential we have as a collective. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2013 from 6:30- 9:00PM at the African American Theme House (2347 Prospect Street Berkeley, CA 94704).
