Peace be with all of you group members, I was in my clinic today and a man rushed into my clinic bleeding profusely from the nose. Never in my 7 years of practicing career seen such a heavy bleed. I took him to the emergency room head elevation and pressure with gauze pads . Asked to nurse to check his bp and it was 226/140. He says he never had any treatment and had come to know today. We called in the ambulance and till that time i needed to control his BP. I wanted to inject 40 mg lasix along with capoten 25 mg oral. My boss came and told me no lasix as it is primitive treatment and give capoten. Please advise as i have always before used lasix and it works very smoothly in reducing bp . What do u think we should do to control this guys bp in emergency situation which i faced to day. Cauterization is needed to stop the bleed. But what will the emergency management be as he was bleeding on removing pressure. .
