Pearce Pounds Out Win in Round 3 of Aussie Jays Campers Southern Speedcar Tour Victoria, AU | Dec. 19, 2014 - Round 3 of the Aussie Jays Campers Southern Speedcar Tour presented by Lucas Oil Products attracted a fantastic car count for the Victorian series. 15 top class cars graced the Mid-Western Speedway, Darlington for the first time in VSDA history. The heat of the day created a very slick track with minimal passing lines but the quality of racing the teams put on at the tight bullring was fantastic for the enthusiastic fans on the hill. Stewart Grant-Campbell and Andy Pearce shared the front row for the 20 lap feature with Domain Ramsey and Troy Jordan on the second row. Pearce won the drag race down the front straight from Grant-Campbell to lead going into turn one, Domain Ramsay ran the low groove through turns one & two and passed both Campbell and Pearce to take the lead down the back straight. Ramsey’s lead was short lived as Pearce regained the lead exiting turn four and set about distancing himself from the rest of the field. There were some great battles going on right through the field as Travis Mills was moving forward from his 7th starting position as was Paul Farrell who started back in 12th. The yellow lights came out on lap eleven as Domain Ramsey spun in turns one/two, this bunched the field back up with only nine laps left to run. Pearce led the field away at the restart closely followed by Troy Jordan, Travis Mills & Sydney young gun Brandon Willmington. Grant-Campbell, Farrell and Joe Lostitch swapped positions multiple times as they battled to get into the top five this allowed rookie driver Gabe Goode to sneak passed as he made his way through the field from his last row starting position. The yellows came out again on lap 18 as Domain Ramsey spun in turns one/two, this set the scene for a green, white, checker finish.
