People always say do what you love. Given the current state of government regulation and the ever encroaching destruction of markets, that seems like a terrifying and unrealistic option to some people. Its never easy to entirely change your life and career but if youre smart about it and build the skills you need to be successful in whatever it is that you love doing, theres a way to make it your lifes work. Thats what Ive done with the company Im building. One of the businesses I work with is Liberty.me. Theyre building an online community for liberty minded people like us. I have never worked so many damn hours in my life. Ive also never loved the people I work with or what I do more in my life. The point of this little emotional spewing is that yes, things are hard and youll face a thousand and one obstacles from the state and the markets but if youre smart about it, then you can build a life doing whatever it is that you love and work with people you love who share the same values and work ethic as you.
