People are afraid of flying. They are afraid of public speaking. They are afraid of someone breaking into their house. The odds of these things ever really being a threat to their safety is very small. The thing that surprises me is the fearless way that people take medications that are advertised on television as having risks that include cancer,blindness, liver damage and sometimes fatal occurrences... A nice euphemism for DEATH! People seem to think nothing about the multitude of risks that are involved in taking some of these mildly effective medicines. The one that gets me worked up a little is one that says, some side effects can be sudden loss of vision and hearing, if this happens contact your doctor immediately ... Yeah, right! If you cant see or hear how are you going to find the phone or even talk to the person on the other end if you cant see or hear!
