People are so afraid of the new, something beyond their norm and their understanding of the mundane. They frown upon new ideas with the understanding of them as crazy and insane, something to be tried out by someone else but not them… anything beyond our understanding, beyond our idea of the norm is so incomprehensible to our constricted powers of imagination and embracing something new, something outside our scope of the familiar; we label anything beyond this as weird or unwelcome. We all are stuck in a rut, a rut of fear for the unfamiliar. Something that forces us to, unconsciously or consciously, shun anything we don’t understand, may it be people or ideas.
