People got sick of Facebook events about a month after Facebook made it available. Every assclown and his friend started adding everyone they could and called themselves promoters. In no time at all you were getting multiple invites and multiple emails all pretty much saying the same thing. Hottest party ever hurry and get your tickets cause its almost sold out. People got tired of seeing notifications only to find out it was 5 different people promoting the same lame event. I think event invites actually hurt the event. Nothing works better than old fashion promoting. Word of mouth and building a buzz. Starting small and building a good rep for throwing solid parties. People who rely on just social media are lazy. Lazy people throw lack luster events. The masses know this and thats why nobody shows up but the djs two closest friends.
