People have sought to invent their own religious systems, based on what they desire and think. Most folks are grounded in their own selfish notions. Or are they based on the Word of God? When human beings begin to view themselves as equal to God, they begin acting so by asserting their own will over His will. "The Me Generation." Nobody tells me what to do. Independence of the individual from God and all others. Such thinking enthrones man and dethrones God. To think that people can become so proud that they banish God from their concerns and lives in the thought that they are capable of directing their own course and that they are answerable to no one except self. My Bible reads: (Matthew 16:24) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (John 12:25) He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (John 12:26) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
