People in other countries laugh at us all the time when they hear stories of stupid frivolous lawsuits. Like the recent news that a jury awarded a widow 23 BILLION (Thats not a misprint) from RJ Reynolds because her husband died of lung cancer caused by.... you guessed it, smoking! If I smoked (Thank goodness I dont) and I got sick from it, I would only blame myself and not the company making the product. What the judge and jury should have did was throw out the lawsuit and told the widow that smoking is a choice, no one told him to smoke and he could have quit anytime early enough when he saw that they were indeed bad for him. It would be the same as an auto racers wife suing the sanctioning body or part manufacturer when her husband dies as a result from a crash. Oh wait, that actually happened too.....
