People must not forget what George Speight and his friends did to the Nation and how one political party is championing Christian values but acting and saying things in total opposite to those values. For us Rotumans, we must ask ourselves, have we ever progressed in the last 30 years? or done anything constructive as a minority ethnic community for the benefit of our future generation? Govts have come and gone but we Rotumans are unable to get up ourselves and solve our one and major problem..securing our own regular transportation link between our Island Rotuma and Fiji. The only good thing that I could thing of that we Rotumans can be proud of is that we, collectively built Churchward chapel on the grounds of wanting our own place of worship. Why cant we collectively do the same and secure our own air and shipping vessels to secure our transportation links between Fiji and Rotuma. Perhaps the Rotuman Religious community can champion this project to secure our Islands future. I am certain all Rotumans will go with such a venture because every Rotuman will not want to be labeled a bad Christian. Think of your security as an ethnic minority before you vote. It would be wise to vote a Rotuman into parliament and into the new Govt as it is one avenue of securing our peoples voice and future aspirations. We must always look back in history to be able to gaze at our future. Praise be to Jah.
