People often consider me a grinch when I say I dont really buy Christmas gifts for people. I stopped buying presents because the holiday has just gotten disgustingly commercial and horribly consumer driven. I donate to charities in peoples names and started just baking cookies for a few relatives. Every year my parents ask what I would like and I always say nothing, Im okay Im not typing this for a pat on the back but simply to encourage people to remember what all holidays are intended to be based upon; spending time with those you love and being grateful that these people are a part of your journey through life. To remind yourself that you blessed not by what you have in life but by the intangible things that make life worth living. As proof of my philosophy there is literally no gift that could compare to the time spent last night with my family of coworkers...and especially the after party lol This semester had some personal moments but having the gift of being blessed with the people I work with (and for) makes everyday a holiday and every moment a gift. Now lets try and tag everyone lol. My solid as a rock team on AQ Ema Buco, Michael Cattani, Marinel Maitea,Mark Stevens and Patrick Hazilla, my amazingly supportive and encouraging supervisors Charles Rogers, and Laurie Garafola, my mentor, inspiration, role model, and jokester Leandra Harris, the crazy cast of central office characters Holly Barker-Flynn, Sari Khatib, Todd Jones, Carol Perrin, Karla Jaime-Benitez Kirk Leszczynski, Eric Grignon, and. Cynthia. My QC power house team Steve Lampedusa, Roberto Peguero, Jameelee Sparrow Ford, and Markus Ricks. last and not least every RD and GA in our department youre all spectacular and beautiful people theres too many to tag (plus I have to get back to work) but Im such a wealthy man to have the riches of your friendship.
