People often wonder if they should dilute their essential oils or use them neat (undiluted) when applying to the skin. This video done by Robert Pappas an expert essential oil chemist, shows how fast essential oils can evaporate and therefore are being wasted when not mixed with a carrier oil. He also shows how EOs can dry out the skin when applied without a carrier oil. I usually prefer to dilute with coconut oil when applying to my own skin because I have noticed that they tend to dry out my skin as well . For my kids I ALWAYS dilute because their skin is much more sensitive than mine and their bodies are much smaller and need less oil.
