People really need to stop rushing to judge and hate police over shootings. You dont know what an officer goes thru facing an armed person unless youve been there. Four months out of the police academy in 1998 I was shot at on a traffic stop in a rural area of Tattnall county. For a moment I thought I was going to have to shoot the violator to keep him from shooting at me again because he was still pointing his pistol at me and I pointing mine at him. I was able to talk the violator into dropping his weapon and arrested the violator without further incident. Instead of condemning officers, please dont judge, be glad that we put ourselves in harms way to protect you even though we may not know you. I am proud to still be serving my community....
