People see a firearm and they get worried. The case for the opposite should be true. When I open carry I know I am going to get contacted by LEOs. The always get a smile and a friendly hello. My hand is NEVER near my firearm. Hi, whats you name? Then I have to decide if I want to play or not. Do I answer Jim James or George William James, Jr.? To DOL and CWP say George but all of you and everyone else know me as Jim. Whatya doing? Shopping. I see you are carrying gun. You are correct. Glancing down Right here. Cop has to ask so, What you doing with a gun? Now I have several pat answers that I know will get m face down on the pavement. Looking for a school., Looking for a bunch of Jews. Just ready for black helicopters. Any one of those will earn you a place face down. I play it safe. Same as you. Personal protection of myself and those close to me. Some ask if I have training. I smile. Some ask if I dont trust the police to do the job. I always ask: How long did it take you to find me when you got the all? Every single time the officer has told me to Have a nice day. They are doing their thankless job. My firearm is open and I expect to be watched and questioned. I have nothing to hide.
