People who used to support Obama have now woken up to the fact that the messiah has turned into a MESS(iah). His constant lies and embellishment of the truth and empty rhetoric no longer fooled many people. This mornings press conference he once again promised to work with the Republicans as he said so before many times publicly but behind closed door is a different story. As the award winning author Bob Woodward revealed in his book, The Price of Politics, Obamas My way or the highway attitude is well-known in Washington. During the budget meeting, Republican Eric Cantor tried to share some ideas with Obama for stimulating the economy and creating jobs. When he pushed for a business tax cuts, Obama arrogantly looked at him and said, Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won. Now, that the Democrat-controlled senate is no longer there to protect him from his lawlessness; violating the constitution left and right that he swore to uphold and protect, Obama should heed the message the people sent him during this recent election. No more empty promises and just do whats right for the country and people. This is the most seats captured by one party since the 1940s. It is a strong message to repudiate Obamas policies. WASHINGTON — Republicans claimed a commanding majority in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, pushing their dominance to near-historic levels as they capitalized on widespread dissatisfaction with President Barack Obama. Republicans easily won the 218 seats required and were on track to match or surpass the 246 seats they held during President Harry S. Truman’s administration in the late 1940s. Obama will face a Republican-controlled Congress in his final two years as Republicans regained control of the Senate. “It’s time for government to start getting results and implementing solutions to the challenges facing our country, starting with our still-struggling economy,” House Speaker John Boehner said in a statement. The party that holds the White House traditionally loses seats when the president is not on the ballot, but Obama suffered an ignominious distinction. The president, whose party lost 63 seats in 2010, saw Democrats lose another 12 seats and became the two-term president with the most midterm defeats, edging past Truman’s 74 by one. capebretonpost/News/Canada---World/2014-11-05/article-3929469/Republicans-expand-majority-in-US-House-to-near-historic-levels%2C-win-in-Democratic-areas/1
