Pep talk time here guys and gals authors/writers/ whatever. Im seeing so many gloomy Guss post today, and yesterday. (I do it too at times)Listen just because success isnt beating down your door right now, doesnt mean it never will. We all know that no matter what we call it...our career/our calling etc., it takes hard work, long hours and disappointment. We will be stepped on, lied to, and taken advantage of. I myself have had people pretend like they had my best interest at heart more than once! Ive had people tell me things like oh my gosh you are this, you are that, I will do this for you, Im going to hook you up with the right people. Ive had someone tell me no you cant do this...you have to do it this way, trust me Ive been in the business a lot longer than you blah blah. (FYI to those peops that did that...just so ya know I knew you were blowing smoke up my butt lmbo!)I was warned by some good peops from the start of you wolves in sheeps clothing besides, I can usually size up a bullshi**er within the first 5 minutes of a conversation with them. However Ive seen a few younger writers who have fell into some of these conniving peoples traps and I do feel bad for them. But I just want to say-dont give up on your dream because you came across a bad apple. There are good people out there willing to help...I know, Ive met many and Im calling them out! Ryals, Cameo Renae, Colleen LeHew Lee, Tiffany Carmouche, Amy Butler, Heather Heslip Alexander, Len Phelps Jena Gregoire, Tonya A Potts Teresa Babingtonjust to name a few of the great peops who have helped me out in either huge ways, or even small ones. Whether its been advice, sharing posts, or buying tons of paperbacks for distribution. (if I forgot your name, Im sorry) So dont give up young ones there are those of us who are authentic and we truly want to help, and not hurt.
