Perfect weekend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I just got back to Skogsberg after having spent 48 hours mostly focusing on rehearsing for this summers 10 performances of Otello at Opera på Skäret! Happy, happy! As always, I come back feeling renewed and happy after hours and hours of singing and learning lots and lots of new things about opera, my own voice and having fun with new friends. Not only were the last couple of days filled with Verdis incredible music and intepretation of the romantic, but dark and deadly tragedy of Otello, Sten Niclassons brilliant instruction of the choir, The Universe also managed to squeeze in a magical birthday and dance party last night. Thank You, both Alice and Suzanne, I had a fantastic time - I think we all did! So much fun, what a blessing. Thank you, Anders Sköldman for being so sweet and hospitable and helping me out with all kinds of things: among others, the best breakfast ever on his roof top balcony over looking Örebro. Clear blue skies and a warming sun. Flow. Serendipity. Grace all over. And I can still hardly believe that I get to spend the summer with all the brilliant people of the Otello crew. Very often I feel like a child in a candy store or a young adept who gets an opportunity to hang with the Masters. It is so wonderful to be able to stay in this vulnerable, balancing place of innocence, purity of heart and stillness of the soul. You all bless me, I wish and hope that I offer something just as beautiful back the world. This time of transforming myself is a most sacred time. Unfolding my wings, ever so slowly. Readying myself to take to the skies. Seeing the world change. As if magical, dimensional doors are opening themselves to and for me. Everywhere. My work, my art... my play is to relax, receive, digest, sometimes regurgitate a little, experiment, dream, taste, experience, try it out, enjoy and delight in it all... to rise, to shine, to share it with the world, and create new magical experiences with innocent eyes and curiosity.
