Perfector and Sustainer of our faith You are holy and pure and perfect. You call us to be holy as you are holy You call us to be pure and steadfast You call us to be perfect as you are perfect We confess that this call seems impossible to us We are aware of our faults and We despair of being holy and pure and perfect Grant us the peace and the wisdom to know deep in our souls and in our minds that first you call us where we are. That in pursuing you in submitting our wills to yours even in simply wanting to be yours You meet us in that place and that is perfect enough for now, for today Reveal to us that you walk with us that in calling us to perfection you walk with us; you carry us; you entice us Let us know that in being human with our faults and our starts we are fulfilling our call That being where we are being with you in this moment we are perfected in and by you. Help us to rest, to accept ourselves as you accept us, where we are in your arms and in your love Let us not worry about perfection or holiness or purity for you declare and give each of these To us and to all who give themselves to you who trust you in your faithfulness who want to live with you in our imperfection amen
