Performing a Parotidectomy is a very difficult task for any Surgeon because of fear of injury to Facial Nerve.If facial nerve is not there,parotidectomy can be a procedure,comparable to Excision of an Epidermal cyst! Here is the fellow Surgeon Dr.Muthusamy who has completed M.S (Gen.Surg) in our unit, now working as SR at Salem Medical College has done a Total conservative (preserving facial N.) Parotidectomy with wonderful dissection and isolation of all the branches of Facial nerve.This is something extraordinary of this fellow, Dr.Muthusamy whom i know him from UG days of MMC. I am observing him from day1 of his Post graduation and he has got good surgical skills. Congratulations Dr.Muthusamy!
