Perhaps the highlight of this weeks Yorkshire holiday was Whitby. I hadnt been there since I was a teenager. A very pretty harbour combined with seaside sauciness and literary (Dracula) associations made it a massive hit for me. A low score to the antique dealer who wouldnt drop the price of her 1951 Eric Fraser print (no sale) but thumbs up to the Gothic Revival St. Hildas church and some fine Art Deco shop signage around town.
