Petitioning: The Honourable Sentencing Judge at Shelby County General Sessions Court Memphis police responded to a call and headed toward a home in Orange Mound, in the southeast part of the city, only to find three dogs in the back yard. Two of the poor pooches were heavily emaciated, while another one had passed away and was partially eaten by the other dogs. According to police, no water or shelter was available – the poor animals had only some moldy water to drink. 32-year-old Katherine Parker has been charged with 3 counts of animal neglect. According to her statement, she had owned the dog for just a few months. The affidavit states that the “dogs were forced to suffer in a depraved and sadistic manner”. The woman was brought behind bars and her bond was set at $10, 000. She will make her first court appearance at Shelby County General Sessions Court, on June 26. The two dogs that managed to survive were removed from Parker’s custody and sent to Animal Control, so a veterinarian could do a check-up on them. Given the disturbing nature of this case, we ask the Honourable Sentencing Judge to seek the maximum penalty available under the current laws. Such gesture must not go unpunished. What she did is beyond any human imagination, and she must pay for what she did. Sign the Petition let’s get as many signatures as possible, and make sure this woman gets what she deserves! After you sign, please make sure to share with your family, friends, co-workers and even on social media. Urge them to sign and share.
