Pettai Thullal @ Erumeli The pettathullal will be held by Ambalappuzha and Alangattu teams on 11th Jan . 2015 Sri.Kalathil Chandrasekharan Nair will lead Ambalappuzha team, They will begin thullal from Erumely Petta Sree Dharma Sastha temple around noon after dharshan of the Garuda on the sky. The Ambapaluzha bhakthas will decorate themselves with colour powders. They will goto Vavar mosque.The Thadambu on the elephant is the part of Procession.The chenda and other melam will make all dance.They reachSri Dharma sastha temple around 1.30 PM The Alangad team, will led by their samooha periyon A K Vijayakumar Sri.Vijayakumar with 300 people will start thullal from Erumely Petta Sree Dharma Sastha temple around 2PM.This team use only sandal paste and Viboodhi not colour powders with Chenda mela,Tharai and Thappatai. After this the pettai thullal will come to an end for Magara Villaku season@ erumeli. Both the pettathullal teams will leave the temple in the evening for Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple via Traditional Perur thodu-Kalaikatti-Azhufha-Karimala and reach Pamba and trek neelimala and sannidhanam. In old days People will not trek towards Sabarimala after these two teams trek in traditional route. They do Pamba sadya and Pamba villaku and reach Sannidhanam on13th late evening.
