Phata Poster Nikla Hero Movie Review: Cast – Shahid Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Darshan Jariwala, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, Padmini Kolhapure Director – Rajkumar Santoshi Rating: 3/5 Story: Vishwas Rao(Shahid Kapoor) a wannabe actor who is mistaken for a super cop. Rao is no Dabangg and is mortally afraid of wounds but in order to hide his first lie he goes on lying more and more. This leads to a hilarious turn of events while Kajal (Ilena D’Cruz) an overzealous social worker drags Rao through this whole mess. Meanwhile, Vishwas’s mother Savitri (Padmini Kolhapure) wants him to become a police officer. Amid all this confusion, drama and humor, how Vishwas handles the situations and whether his true identity is revealed or not, is what forms..the story. Performances Shahid’s character of an aspiring actor with the shades of a super cop! Moreover, his dance sequences in the movie are enjoyable Ileana D’Cruz impressed thoroughly with her performance ,she tries out a refreshingly different genre, and does a fairly good job, She looks super cute throughout the movie. Padmini Kolhapure as the mother of Rao,Darshan Jariwala is the lovable ACP while Saurabh Shukla is the bumbling gangster with his antics. Analysis: Phata Poster Nikla Hero has nothing new to offer other than a series of well managed comic events. The movie is entertaining in parts, but it doesn’t really engage you all the time. There is not much to say about the way the story has been treated, it feels certain events in the movie are repetitive . The movie also has the real Dabangg Salman Khan for a cameo and Nargis Fakhri in an item song.Overall, the movie is a full on comic caper with masala entertainment and a complete weekend outing for the family. Verdict: Entertaining to some extent – watchable !
