Philanthropy - By CJL guest speaker, Elie Horn "My grandfather in Syria opened an orphanage for 3,000 persons in the First War. My father, died in Brazil about 32 years ago. He didn’t have so much money but he gave 100% to charity. So we had an allocation we had his way of behaving. I wanted to give 100%; the rabbi said it’s not good because you must teach your children to do the same thing, so I promised 60%. So if I have $100, $60 will go to philanthropy."
