Philippine Hacking University . This it a leech file from . lets start Tip 1: Use Quotations marks. This definitely works all the time with Google and most of the time with forums/sites. For example if you type into Google without quotes How do you make pancakes you will return 32,100,000 results. However if you write your search query with quotation marks you like this - How do you make pancakes you will return 133,000 results. By doing just this you have excluded 31, 967, 000 results and thus have narrowed in on your search. Not only that but you also have more relevant results. Now lets look at a forum example using Hackforums. If for example you type in to HF search bar How to hack a password and you have the title option checked you will return 25 results. However if you type with quotes like this - How to hack a password you will return only 12 results and thus narrowed in on your search. Again you will also have more relevant results. You will also return shorter and relevant results if you have the search entire post option selected too. Bare in mind that this works only some of the time with HF and other forums. Tip 2: Remember you have filters! Lets take HF again for example. You have a lot of options to use to narrow in on what your looking for such as: search entire post search titles only Search in Forum(s) Find threads with any prefix Sorting options Display options By User name This is just a partial list of the HF filters list and I encourage you to muck around here experimenting with this section with all those filters. Also remember to use filters on Google which have some great tools you can use and remember to experiment with them. By using filters you once again narrow in on your searches. Tip 3: Use the hyphen to filter out results. Say you type in to a forum or Google a search and you keep getting word that keeps appearing in the results but you dont want that. You simply type and place the hyphen exactly next to that word which will filter it out. For example lets say you dont want the word password appearing in results when you do a HF search. Then you type How to hack a -password. Notice the hyphen (-). When you do that search you will not see the word password appear anywhere. This is a Google trick but which also works in forums and other sites as I found out myself. Tip 4: Look for highlighted keywords. This mainly applies to HF and possibly many other forums too; not a Google trick. Anyway when you type in a query into HF the keywords you used in the search will be highlighted in threads and/or posts. So instead of reading dozens of text all you need to do is find those highlighted keywords to narrow in on your search. Tip 5: Use CTRL and F key to fine text on any web- page. No matter what web-page you are on if you simultaneously click CTRL and the F key a little search box will appear. This search box will be in different locations depending on your browser. However you can type in some text into that search box and immediately the web-page will display the first location where that text appears on the web- page. You just need to press enter to find the next location. Also you have the option to click Highlight all in that search box which will highlight all the places where that text is located. Tip 6: Try rearranging word orders. Instead of typing hack password type password hack. You will change the results by doing this. This method works with Google as well as HF and other websites. Tip 7: Less is more. In other words start long and then shorten your searches. So you go from How to hack a password to hack a password to hack password for example. This is also a good way of narrowing in on your searches.
