Phone call at 5:30 am from John to tell me not to drive down and pick him up at the rescue squad at 6 and just go to work. He is on his way to a sad patient transport after a already bad night. I have to admire John for his willingness to help the Bristol community by being a volunteer EMT with the Rescue Squad. Not many are willing to to make the this commitment, sacrificing time and their own personal commitments, to give to the community like this. Next time you see one of the volunteers for your local rescue squad or fire department, be sure to thank them for their (and their familys) commitment and sacrifice.
