Phone companies are all lowering their monthly rates. Just got the letter in the mail from Verizon today. This is the direct effect of competition in the private sector. Think about what would happen if the government stepped in and said that boost mobile, tmobile, virgin, straight talk, and cricket didnt meet coverage standards.....that they didnt cover enough people in rural areas and therefore werent good enough for anyone. Would AT&T or Verizon be lowering their rates then? Or would they be raising them? For the answer to this question, check your health insurance bill.
