PiYo update! Eight weeks ago I changed my workout and started PiYo....pilates/yoga. I did the program for 8 weeks and only missed a few workouts. I was hoping to be extremely flexible by the end, but it just didnt happen...flexibility is low on the list of characteristics to describe my build. But thats okay...I did see that I gained definition. I gained a different kind of strong that I was not getting from strength training. The cardio was awesome. That was something I was missing from my previous workouts. Plus, Chalene Johnson is not anywhere near as annoying as Tony Horton. HA! I have a torn ACL and was able to keep up and complete everything in the workout except the burpees...awww no burpees. I couldnt have planned that better. I simply did the modification. Workouts lasted anywhere from 20 minutes (at the beginning of the program) to 45 minutes (started in the 5 week and there was only one workout that lasted 45 minutes). OVERALL I really enjoyed the workout and results. I am down 4 lbs and 4.5 in my waist and hips. I have to give credit to LEAN and Pre and Post Workout with ID LIFE for its contribution. Without a doubt, it played a significant role. Next week is my week off from a scheduled workout, but then I will complete another round of PiYo. If you are interested in learning more about PiYo, please contact Dawn Link McDougald. She was the beachbody coach that I signed up with. She has a private group on FB to help you stay motivated and focused. We are all in this together!
