Picked up the new raven 116 float rod this week, recommended by Danny colville of colville outfitters in hamburg. Caught some fish with it today and absolutely loved it. My other rod which is the standard raven im9 136 is great for big water like Catt and lower river but in the smaller creeks its hard to maneuver and puts a hurt on my shoulder overall when fishing hard. These new blanks are much lighter and the stiffer backbone of the rod let me handle bigger fish as well. Thanks for the great recommendation Danny. I normally dont like to advertise too much but Danny has everything a steelhead fisherman could ever want. If you are a bead fisherman I have never seen so many selections and he has everything from fly fishing equipment to standard float fishing. Check it out if you get a chance its on rt5.
