Pictures show a #TransAsia spokesman tearily apologized for GE222 accident. He bowed and stated that the weather caused the crash. According to local media, the Typhoon Matmo had been striking Penghu area strongly during the flights approach. The pilot of GE222 was told to keep the flight airborne when the plane was about to descend. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at that time. Among the 54 passengers onboard, there were 4 children, and 4 crew members. The plane reportedly caught fire after it landed at the end of the runway. 11 rescued passengers have been sent to local hospital with burn injuries. 47 died in the crash.
