Pilgrims service was so good!!! I was honored to teach the Teens Sunday school class and then Pastor Rickey Parks took us to higher heights with his morning message. His sermon was from 1 Kings 18:1-15 and talked about being A Good Man In A Bad Place. He talked about Elijah, Ahab, Obadiah and Jezebel. Please read this passage when you can. After Pastor told us how Ahab thought just because he had done a few things for God (like us: church, bible study, prayer meeting, etc.), that should have been enough. Then he had the nerve to try to REMIND GOD of what he had done...smh. As Martin Lawrence would say...somebody done told you wrong!! Pastor challenged us to admit our own shortcomings with not worshipping God as we should and acting as if God owes us when we owe Him!!! THEN...Pastor told us about a man named Jesus who did more than enough. He called Rev Wheatly and Rev Smith to help him seal the borrowed tomb where Jesus laid. Yall Pastor got down on his knees and showed us how Jesus came out the tomb with ALL power in His hands!!! It was a spiritual wrap and we all took a praise break!!! God is awesome and greatly to be praised!!! His mercy endures forever and He CONTINUES to give us more favover that we could ever deserve. Hallelujah to God for His word and His messenger Pastor Rickey Parks!!!
