Pinch, punch 1st of the month... Okay, yes, it’s true, we’re now half way through March already - can you believe it?! And it seems that Spring is definitely in the air! With the daffodils and primrose-filled borders at the Clinic bringing some welcome relief to the dreariness of Winter, it means we’re ready to shake off those Winter blues, and, as we embrace Spring, it’s time now to shrug off “hibernation mode”, and jump into action! There’s been so much going on, it’s hard to know where to start... It’s been an exciting year already so far in the first 2 months of 2014. We welcomed our 8,000th patient to the Clinic in January... incredible to think that we have been able to treat so many poorly, aching people over the years since the Pain Relief Clinic opened its doors - and that’s with over 90% of you having been referred to us via “word of mouth”... Very humbling indeed, and we thank you for continuing to place your trust in us. Since our last newsletter, we’ve been delighted to welcome aboard 3 - yes three! - additional Physiotherapists, in Dave Paling, Pam Cartwright and Dave “Rock” Pinnington. We know from your feedback, that their knowledge and skills have already helped many of you, to not only relieve you of your pain, but to feel more comfortable, increase your body’s strength and flexibility, and overall to improve your energy and feeling of general well-being. Alyssum Rowlett, previously masseuse to the rich and famous, including Hollywood stars, has also joined our team and quickly gained a loyal following ... Her current appointment slots are booked up extremely quickly each week, so you will be pleased to know that we have been listening to you, and we will be increasing Alyssum’s hours so that more of you can benefit from her amazing treatments! Many of you since July have been watching the renovation of the granary barn taking place opposite the Pain Relief Clinic, and in January, with renovations completed, the building finally opened up as our beautiful new, one-of-a-kind Magnetic Resonance Treatment Centre - home now to our MRT treatments (or MBST as it is known in Germany). The MRT Centre, which stands on the edge of the Wolseley Estate and its surrounding countryside, is looked after by Nikki Rose, and has received excellent feedback by patients who have enjoyed their treatments here already over the last 6 weeks. We are fortunate indeed, and very proud, to be able to offer our patients from all over the Midlands, and way beyond, this remarkable Physiotherapy treatment, literally on our door-step. MRT treats Osteoathritis, Osteoporosis, helps heal spinal discs, encourages faster healing of bone fractures, and treats Sports injuries such as torn ligaments and damaged tendons. This is state of the art technology, supported by over 10 years of scientific studies, which can offer a genuine alternative to debilitating pain and reduced mobility, taking regular pain-killers and anti-inflammatories - and can even delay the need for surgery such as hip and knee replacements. Photos of the gorgeous interior of the MRT Centre are on our website and FB page, so do take a peak - together with just some of our patients’ experiences following MRT, and the positive impact it has had on their lives. Fascinating reading! Look out for information coming soon about our special MRT Centre Open Day! More on this to follow... Something else that’s new - yes, there’s more - is that we are now offering you the opportunity to come and enjoy tailor-made exercise classes right here at the Pain Relief Clinic! From a gentle introduction to getting your body back to moving and stretching again, to a comprehensive programme which will give you a short but intense workout, giving your body plenty of stimuli to build lean muscle and burn fat... whatever you need, we can deliver - and without the two main things that people often complain about: hefty Gym fees, and being surrounded by lots of other people to inhibit you! So, no more excuses - we have it all for you here with our very own Sports Therapist & Bio-Mechanics expert, Dean, to guide and inspire you to reach your personal goal. Do keep in touch with us here on our Facebook page, and let us know how we can help you. Well, thats it for the moment, but now, whether you enjoy a gentle stroll, a 5 mile hike, 10 mile run or 20 mile cycle ride, it’s time to get out there and enjoy this sunshine, breathe in that Spring air (and its pretty fresh today!) ... and move that body! Let’s do it!
