Pixie is going to break our wallets. Im already broke. About 1-2 weeks after recovery (I cant remember the exact time frame) but when her eye was pretty much all the way healed up, one spot opened back up and was draining. Got antibiotics for her and it cleared up and she has been good ever since. Now.. Today, her eye is swollen yet again. Will see what vet wants to do. But we may have to have this poor girl go back under to see if the surgery was done correctly or what complications there are. Because this isnt normal :( We spend around $600 a month on food and litter ALONE for all the cats we care for. Thats just cats. And when we go and get cats fixed or updated on shots it can be anywhere from $75-$150 per cat. This just sucks. Pixie should not have to go through surgery again I hope not but it may be what needs to be done. Im not sure whats going on with her eye but I have not seen complications on the other cats that have had eye surgery removal. Im gonna do some research too to see if I can find anything to give me an idea.
