Please Help Me help Kids become financially literate! In June I volunteered to be part of TruMark Financial Kiss-A-Pig’s Financial Literacy Fundraiser. The Foundation benefits schools in need of financial literacy resources such as books, computer software, and other important educational tools. I’m participating with one of my client’s, Furniture Sir-Plus, since most of its furniture stores serve clients in economically challenged neighborhoods and one of its goals is to educate clients on how to get good credit so they can own rather than rent furniture. My son Brian had driven me to the kick of luncheon and was going to help me with this. Of course, I’ve been so distracted by his sudden death that I am just now reaching out for donations. So I really do need fast help. My original goal was $10,000 but I must raise at least $1,000 to kiss the pig. The ceremony is on September 25th at 5:00 p.m. at The Piazza at Schmidt’s. I’ll send info on how to get tickets to watch me KISS A PIG to everyone who helps me make it over the top.
