Please NOTE that we that UPDATED the event information: oin the Midwives of The Birthing Place, Birth and Wellness Center for our FIRST Red Tent Event! Put on your most fabulous Red Tent attire/costume... concentrating on hues and shades of RED and bedecked with lovely accessories, gems/jewels, bangles/jingles. Bring a flowing scarf/shawl/feather boa! Be as flamboyant and amazing as you want and dare! AND... There will be GLITTER to share! We will eat great food ([lease share with the group by bringing an accent/side dish or dessert) Please include a WRITTEN ingredient list with your shared dish (to inform everyone of Whats in it? Our dinner will begin PROMPTLY at 7pm, so DONT BE LATE!! Then, we will dance and drum and sing and dance some more... Enjoy the loveliness of women of all ages joining together in community. If you have a story, poem, or song to share... BRING IT! There will be a Henna Artist to adorn you if you like (there is a cost for this activity, with fees based on the design you choose) There will be a Drummer attending to play drums, teach drumming and inspire everyone for the NEXT Red Tent. (Bring your drum or other percussion instrument(s)) This event will repeat quarterly or bi-annually, depending on the interest we generate in our Womens Community. We need RED STUFF!! RED CLOTH donations including fabric remnants, table cloths, decorative scarves, tulle, tissue paper, sheets, pillows, silk flowers, candles & candle holders, etc... etc... etc... Any and all red trinkets that you have laying around that you could donate to our RED TENT CAUSE... please bring them by the birth centre before January 25. And we thank you for your gift.
