SGPC member,son booked for murder TNN | May 12, 2004, 11.44PM IST BATHINDA: The Muktsar police have booked Dyal Singh Kolianwali, a Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member and his son Parminder Singh along with some unidentified persons for the murder of a 62-year-old Congress party supporter on Wednesday. According to the Malout Sadar police, the accused, who is very close to former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, his son Par-minder and some unidentified per-sons killed Gurbachan Singh of Ko-lianwali village at around 2.30 am on Wednesday. The deceased was sleeping in the court-yard of his house at the time of the incident, said his son Kuldeep Singh. Dyal Singh was pressurising the family members of the deceased to join Akali Dal for the last about one month after they abandoned Akali Dal to join Con-gress, said the report lodged with the police. At around 2.30 am, Dyal Singh, Pritam Singh and some unidentified persons reached their house in a white-coloured Maruti car and opened fire on their house.
