When: Aug. 21, 2014 6:00pm Where: Eagle aka Lincoln Recycling 4711 Dell Ave, North Bergen, NJ 07047 Why: According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency this is an asbestos material containing building. Radioactive material have been set on fire in this building. It does not have a program in place to prevent airborne asbestos within in the building and that the dust suppression system were insufficient despite the presence of residential housing within 500 feet of the facility. EPA found that their practices have increased the risk of asbestos exposure to employees, visitors, residents, and even individuals near the routes used to carry the waste. They have been cited for over $800,000 by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and have not paid a dime!
