Please be kind....I dont often share what Ive written. Just a first draft...This was written in 10 minutes outside in the snow....it just struck me....a classic poet I know Im not....but it helps....sometimes. If you dont like it....IDGAF...keep scrolling. I can make them laugh I can make them think I can coax a smile when their on the brink Make their worries disappear Steal away those hints of fear All these things I do with ease I prove myself, its not a tease My heart is bared, that violent nerve Make them understand all they deserve Each time I hope Ive found the one Then I realize its all in fun Each time I lose a piece of me Another piece Ill never see A game to them Ive become The match is done, the game theyve won This game I know all to well My mind returns to that personal Hell Im left to ponder all that theyve done Now that they have had their fun Another piece circles the drain With each piece I lose Im not the same How many pieces will disappear As I wander though the months and years What will be left after all is done Can my heart be redeemed or is it done Have I lost that final piece Will I ever tame this beast This beast called love, will I ever find it After all Ive lost, will I even recognize it....
