It is in support of a California assembly bill requiring the state to include the most recent scholarship in history education, including the ancient Persian civilization. This initiative is driven by the desire to better prepare all students to understand and engage in events of national and international significance by teaching history that is free from bias and based on the most recent scholarship. In the state of California, world history is introduced to students in sixth grade starting with ancient civilizations.
