(May 10th 2014) from the website (below) Please be advised that 2012 exhibitors have 2 weeks from receiving this invitation to register, prior to any new exhibitors being accepted, due to limited space and duplicates. Unfortunately, the intent to partner with the City of Stratford fell through, due to the restraints of City staff being unable to encorporate the time required to assist in organizing such a huge event. Last years festival was cancelled to allow for the emalumation, but as it didnt occur, we have decided to proceed as before and look forward to our 10th anniversary. It is also important to inform you of our registration policy. When Linc (living in a nurturing community) was created in 2004, it was with the intent to provide families in Stratford and surrounding communities, with an opportunity to learn what was available to assist them in living a more productive and harmonious family life. Our goal for the 2014 Linc is to outdo our performance in the areas of attendance, number of vendors and attractions for the kids and parents. Our committee believes that the best way to achieve that is to focus more diligently on the suitability of our vendors in relation to our focus. What this means is that we will be evaluating all registration against an ideal profile for a vendor, to ensure that they will enhance the experience of families who attend. Below is a partial list of the criteria, that we will use to evaluate the suitability of current vendor registration. 1. Directly improves the health and wellness of a parent, child or family. 2. Environmentally friendly and improves the quality and safety of the home. 3. Enhances or impacts the social cognitive emotional, and educational development of children. 4. Allows a child to blossom socially, through sports, music, dance etc... acting as a stepping stone to making friends and gaining confidence. 5. Strengthens childrens educational, physical and emotional development. Please state which pertains to you, by explaining your business on the registration form and also make certain that you indicate if you would like any entertainment/demonstation time on stage, electricity needs etc. If you are unsure if your company meets the criteria, please contact Dee Leifso (event coordinator) to discuss your registration further. If your product/service does not fit our mandate but part of your business involves recruiting others to build a network, you would qualify for one of our half tables in the Home Based Business section for $40. However, no sales will be allowed at that location. Please note that when registering for the Linc family festival, your spot is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation letter via email or Canada Post. The letter will clearly state EVERYTHING you need to know for the day of the event. Only one exhibitor permitted per company name so there are no repeats, however, we will allow more than one of any particular type of service, such as chiropractors or photographers to a limit, so register early if you would like to be a part of the day. On the final note, please be advised that if you are having an event of your own, anytime throughout the year, in which you require a door prize or a silent auction item, please contact us, as we will be delighted to show our support by donating an item.
