Please friends use some common sense... My niece who is of driving age was sitting in their vehicle today (drivers side) in Walmart with her younger sister and their Dog while Mom ran in quickly to get something. The car WAS RUNNING with the AC ON and a strange Man approached the car. She being a bit nervous by his actions would not roll the window down for him. He proceeded to start to take the license plate number down and at that point she cracked the window down enough to talk to him. He began to argue with her about why she didnt have the window down for the DOG? She nicely explained the car and the AC was on and running. He still argued with her. My niece at this point was trying to quietly feel for her phone to call Her Mother. (She was scared) Luckily a lady pulled in when this all started and stayed with her when she heard him threaten her with hearing from SOMEBODY about this. I know there has been some news coverage regarding infants and animals in hot cars BUT we must use some common sense. 1st of all access the situation and if there appears to be someone in grave danger MAYBE break the window but honestly if you are that concerned call the authorities and let them handle it.
