Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education OR at least 3 years of experience teaching children ages 2-5. - Must be 21 years of age - Must meet current DCFS Licensing standards and NAEYC standards - Certification in First-Aid and CPR required A Lead Teacher at PCEL shall have primary responsibility for coordinating the care, learning, safety and healthy development of the children assigned to the classroom. Responsibilities include: developing an appropriate curriculum consistent with the schools play-based teaching philosophy; supervising and organizing assistant teachers; creating an environment in which each students physical, cognitive, language and social/emotional needs are met while working with parents/guardians to assess these needs.
