Please watch the video below before you read my comments on them. I dont want to make you biased before you see it. Okay, so I watched this video last night and I came away with a few thoughts that Id like to share. First: Racism is a real thing that still exists in this country and the world and will continue to do so until we no longer live in a broken world. But that doesnt mean we shouldnt fight against it in all its disgusting forms. Second: Racism should never be relegated to one specific race or people group. If someone adheres to that opinion I truly believe they are giving into racism themselves. Third: Gods word is very clear about the things that make us all equal. Weve all been created in His image. We all have a soul that will last for eternity. Weve all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We all need forgiveness Fourth: I believe this exercise was created for good intentions but its a very worldly way of trying to stamp out racism. In other words it falls woefully short of showing child in that room that they ALL have the propensity of being a racist simple because they were born human. Fifth: I refuse to let anyone I know believe that they are a default racist because their forefathers were. That has everything to do with guilt and nothing to do with grace.
