Pleased to report that I along with 2 others cyclists got a conviction of Reckless Driving - Endangering Life, Limb and Property against a 54 year old Hanover County man in General District today. This was the result of a complaint filed against the driver for a road rage incident on 6/5/14 that involved him turning right directly into our path in an apparent attempt or feint at running us off the road on Elmont Road near Gwathmey Church Rd. where the shoulder of the road is a steel guardrail. In addition, he stopped twice in the middle of the road and exited his vehicle twice to shout threats at us and eventually left the scene. We noted license number, called the Police and IDed the Driver with the help of the responding Deputy. No injuries were incurred. LIC # WUW-6404. He will not be driving freely for the next 60 days and was assessed a $500 fine. Sometimes...WE win!!
