Plenty more wintery showers on the way…do you want to build a snowman? Further wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow with thunder bringing accumulations in places this evening. The showers will be most frequent in the west and the north. The wintry showers will continue tonight but will be more isolated in the east of the country. Itll be windy for a time with fresh southwest winds. Temperatures will fall to between minus 2 and plus 2 degrees, with frost as well as icy patches developing. The showers will have eased off in many places on Wednesday morning, but they will continue in Ulster. Later in the morning it will become very windy, even stormy as strong to gale force and gusty southerly winds arrive. The gusts will be severe along exposed Atlantic coasts. The strong winds will be accompanied by heavy precipitation, falling as sleet or hill snow for a time in northern areas, but turning to rain everywhere as it advances across the country. Temperatures tomorrow will rise steadily through the afternoon with the advancing rain to reach between 7 and 9 degrees by evening. Source: Met Eireann. #AAWeatherWatch
