Plz Correct any mistakes To whom it may concern Sir/Madam, This is Thaw Tar. I am from Myanmar and I have been nominated to be an Embassy Recommended MEXT Scholarship candidate. Hereafter, I sorrowfully need to decline my candidature for certain situations. When I first applied for this scholarship, I had already applied for Osaka University as a privately funded student for a 2013 graduate course although I knew that I might not be eligible for the MEXT scholarship. The professor who accepted me as his student for the 2013 course is Dr. Naomi Kato. He has been helping with my studies and my intended research even before I was enrolled in his course as a student. Moreover, Dr. Kato also nominated me to be a university recommended MEXT scholarship candidate although I did not won the scholarship. Just after sitting the written exam of the Embassy Screening, Dr. Kato informed me that I had passed the screening of the Osaka University Admission. After passing the primary screening of the Embassy Recommended MEXT Scholarship, I informed my professor and the International Student Section whether I could defer my admission to 2014. Both of them told me that I need to decline the Osaka University admission as a private student and reapply for the 2014 admission. Then I asked my Dr. Kato to be my supervisor in the 2014 intake. He declined my proposal because he would not be able to supervise any student from 2014 intake since he would retire in 2014 March. Consequently, I might not get the admission to the Osaka University. So, I needed to choose between my supervisor and MEXT scholarship. After all, I inevitably and sorrowfully had to decide to give up the 2014 MEXT scholarship candidature. In my point of view, I cannot give up Dr. Naomi Kato for MEXT scholarship because he has so much gratitude on me. Moreover, I believe the International Course of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering is the most suitable course for me and no other courses in Japan might not replace that course for me. Overall, if the MEXT scholarship and the 2013 Osaka University admission are negotiable, please process the Secondary Screening on my application.
